Thanks to our long history of supporting school boards and advocating for their needs across the state, KASB is a trusted voice for public education in Kansas. Our Advocacy staff works all year long to advance key issues on behalf of our state's public schools at all levels of government. The KASB "truth machine" is widely recognized as the go-to resource for policymakers and public education advocates.
Our Advocacy staff works closely with the other Kansas and national educational associations to analyze important issues, such as vouchers, local control of schools and curricula, funding, and much more.
The KASB Advocacy Network (KAN) equips KASB members to become expert advocates with state and federal lawmakers and local stakeholders to build productive relationships at all levels of government. Together, we continue to influence policies positively and fight to ensure that the state of public education in Kansas remains strong.
Our Advocacy team is also here to help your voice be heard. Our staff is ready to connect you to your local legislators, aid you in drafting testimony, and support you in fighting for public education in Kansas.
These efforts ensure effective engagement with policymakers, informed decision-making, and collaborative advocacy for the benefit of Kansas students and schools.
