Launch of the 2025 Kansas Teacher Retention Initiative
The 2025 Kansas Teacher Retention Survey is now open, and we encourage your district to take part in this important effort to better understand teacher engagement and retention across the state.
Superintendents should have received an email with the survey link and instructions on September 25. From there, districts can share the survey with educators and encourage participation.
Since the first Kansas Teacher Retention Initiative in 2021, tens of thousands of Kansas educators have shared their perspectives, resulting in district-level reports, statewide benchmarking, and valuable insights into what keeps teachers in the classroom. In 2025, the survey will once again provide data schools can use to guide decisions and strengthen support for educators.
Survey details:
- Will be open from Sept. 29 – Nov. 26, 2025
- Takes about 10 minutes to complete
- Responses are confidential and securely stored
- Districts with at least a 30% response rate receive a free district-specific report
As a partner in this initiative, KASB joins Emporia State University, the Kansas National Education Association and USA-Kansas in supporting this collaborative project led by the Educator Perceptions and Insights Center (EPIC).
We encourage school leaders to make time for educators to complete the survey, whether during staff meetings or professional development. Together, we can reach the statewide goal of 70% participation and ensure educators’ voices continue to shape the future of Kansas education.
