Registration is open now! Click here to register.

KASB’s annual Advocacy In Action Conference will kick-off the 2022 legislative session, as education advocates from across Kansas will spend two days discussing issues affecting public schools during these unprecedented times and meeting with key policymakers. Join us on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for Advocacy in Action! Join the KASB Advocacy Network (KAN) to attend an evening reception on Jan. 11 and breakfast with the state board of education and in-depth advocacy training on Jan. 12.

The conference starts with the KASB Advocacy team providing a preview of the major education issues and hearing from local districts on what the state could do to help student success. A trip to the Statehouse will be part of the activities on Tue. Jan. 11 to hear from state leaders, attend legislative committee meetings, visit with local representatives and learn more about the legislative process. A box lunch will be provided at the Statehouse.

Members of the KASB Advocacy Network are invited to attend a reception following the events from 6-8 p.m. at the KASB office. KASB officials and other leaders will be on hand to visit with members of KAN during breakfast and training beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Wed. Jan. 12. The network is accepting members who will receive in-depth training on advocacy at the state and national levels. Visit to view more information and apply for KAN.

Registration costs $175/registrant and includes any conference materials and lunch on Jan. 11 at the Statehouse.
