Kansas Board Solutions adds new position to support growth

Posted Date: 05/14/2022

Kansas Board Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kansas Association of School Boards is growing to better support the KASB members. Launched in July of 2021, this subsidiary has a mission to uniquely serve the success of local communities by offering convenient value and resource aligning solutions that allow for direct reinvestment into the success of students and schools.

With the rapid growth and popularity of KBS programs, it was crucial that we supported that growth with some key human capital! We added a new position of Account Manager recently.

Katie Banker brings over 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry to our team. Her experience includes all lines of business and for the past 10 years, Katie has been employed by the State of Kansas, State Employee Health Benefits Program (SEHBP). Her favorite role was being a Health Plan Coordinator for the SEHBP where she was responsible for building relationships with members, Human Resource Officials and Vendors. She created Open Enrollment materials and trained all Human Resource offices and their employees across the State both in-person and remotely.

Katie will work in all lines of KBS agency, with one of her primary roles being the member contacts under our Employee Benefit Solutions program, our firm's fastest-growing service! She will work with group implementation, renewals, ongoing sales and as customer service support. She is only an email or phone call away and looks forward to assisting, educating, and guiding our members.

I am thrilled to add Katie to the KBS team, it is uncommon for a firm our size in our infancy to have a team with such rich and diverse experience. Over 100 years of employee benefit and insurance industry experience are available right here at Kansas Board Solutions, Inc. Tie that to a great mission of “Insurance With a Purpose,” sharing your mission of student success. You are in great hands with us!
