KASB report provides comprehensive update on education bills during legislative session

Find out what education bills remain alive as the 2022 legislative session nears first adjournment on April 1.

KASB has prepared a comprehensive report, “Where We Stand, March 23,” which provides summaries and details of numerous bills that could affect public schools and where those bills are in the legislative process.

Here is a link to the report.

There is one week left in the regular session before legislators take a break and then return for the veto session on April 25.

School funding, open enrollment, parents’ rights, transgender athletes, KPERs plans and COVID actions are among the many subjects still under review.

KASB hopes this report will provide useful information to school leaders and parents as they interact with their legislative representatives.
