KASB's `Where We Stand, March 18' shows status of education bills

KASB has prepared a comprehensive report on the status of numerous education bills as legislators race toward the end of the 2022 regular session.

“Where We Stand, March 18,” provides summaries and details of more than 50 bills that could affect public schools and where those bills are in the legislative process.

Here is a link to “Where We Stand, March 18.”

There are two weeks left in the regular session before legislators take a break on April 1 and then return for the veto session on April 25.

School funding, open enrollment, parents’ rights, transgender athletes, KPERs plans, math curriculum and judicial selection are among the many provisions set for debate.

KASB hopes this report will provide useful information to school leaders and parents as they interact with their legislative representatives.
