KASB Meets Your Professional Development and Training Needs

KASB provides a broad spectrum of educational programming and professional development training to school districts. Our staff has the skill and knowledge to present information to district personnel for both personal development and career advancement in a variety of different formats and venues. Professional development encompasses all types of facilitated learning opportunities, ranging from informal learning to formal coursework to practical on-site training on the topics of the district’s choice. Whether it’s mentoring, supervision or technical assistance, for administrators or classified staff, KASB can provide what your district needs.

On-site and Customized Training - Have a special need or want personalized training? KASB offers on-site workshops and training to give you the in-depth knowledge you need. Research services also can be tailored to assist schools in understanding and using important data. 

Audio, Video and Web Conferences - KASB uses technology to provide our members the options and flexibility they need to keep up with the latest issues, legislative updates and training. KASB Webinars - KASB's webinar series provides periodic “hot topic” webinars throughout the year, and starting in January offers a weekly legislative briefings, advocacy tips and community engagement strategies.  

Recommended Curriculum - KASB staff designed a Recommended Curriculum that will develop key competencies boards of education should possess. For the 2012-2013 school year, the four designated training sessions are:

1.  KEEP/Evaluation/Core Curriculum - September 5, 2012
2.  School Finance - September 13, 2012 
3.  Student Discipline - November 15, 2012
4.  Human Resources Academy - March 26, 2013

Boards with at least one member participating in each of these four areas will receive special recognition.
