|Kansas has great public schools - a testament to the hard work of thousands of educators, students and parents! But we know Kansas schools must always be marching forward and improving to help students succeed statewide. And in today's contentious political climate, that effort is not easy.
It’s important for locally elected school boards of education and their communities to be at the forefront of shaping the future of public schools in Kansas. To do that, local leaders must be armed with the facts about Kansas public schools and ready to seek new opportunities to change and innovate.
By attending one of the 2015 KASB Fall Education Summits, you will hear vital information about school finance, student achievement trends and what is on the horizon for public schools as we explore “Success Across Kansas.”
Kansas Commissioner of Education Dr. Randy Watson will share impressions and insights gained during the listening tour earlier this year. (This session is open to the public and does not require registration.)
Following Dr. Watson’s presentation, those who have registered for the KASB Fall Education Summit will have lunch and hear from KASB Executive Director John Heim and USA|Kansas Executive Director G. A. Buie. The afternoon of the summit centers around what we want for the future of Kansas public education, and how can we make it happen.
Join us at 11:30 a.m. to hear from Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education.
This presentation is free and open to the public. No pre-registration required to attend only Dr. Watson's presentation.
