An Invitation from the KASB President
Amy Martin, Olathe USD 233

Becoming lifelong learners is at the core of our mission in my school district. That applies to everyone from the wide-eyed kindergartner, to her teacher, her principal, her superintendent, and all the way up to her board of education members.

The KASB Annual Conference is our opportunity as board members to gather new ideas to bring back to our districts, to polish our leadership skills, and become better advocates for our schools. First-time attendees will discover a network of fellow board members to draw upon for ongoing support, and veterans can find renewal and new insight into the programs and ideas making a difference in classrooms across the country.

As a member of KASB your organization receives one free full registration to the conference, making it easier to bring your team and get the most out of this opportunity. Pre-conference sessions begin on Friday, December 2, with the vendor show that evening. Saturday is non stop learning with two dynamic general sessions and a vast array of breakout sessions. Sunday includes regional elections and the Delegate Assembly when we select our next leader and discuss and approve changes to our legislative platform and association constitution.

I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to get the most out of your KASB membership. I look forward to seeing you in Wichita.
