Site Councils

Since site councils were mandated in 1992, KASB has provided numerous opportunities for site councils to learn more about their role in school improvement. Over the past two years, the Education Services staff has conducted over 25 site council inservices at school sites throughout the state. Materials have also been developed to facilitate site council effectiveness. A Guide for Kansas School Site Councils provides information on legal issues, effective meetings, by-laws, agenda preparation and other important topics.
