Research Services: Negotiations Data

2006-07 Negotiations in Kansas School Districts
The annual reports on teacher salary schedules and negotiated agreements are complete and were mailed to all board members, superintendents, board clerks and attorneys.

The publication can be emailed to you, upon request, in the form of a "pdf" file that will require Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. This is a free program which can be downloaded from the internet, and many district offices probably already have this program. To download Adobe Acrobat Reader click here now.

In addition to this report, detailed print outs of information or electronic files of complete statewide data are also available now. These print outs can be customized to fit whatever group of districts your negotiating team would like to focus on.

To receive this report electronically or to request print outs of data, email KASB research at research@kasb.org and ask Jim Hays or Debbie Dyche to send you the file.

Negotiations
Each year the research department assembles information supplied by school districts and by the Kansas State Department of Education. Rankings of salaries, salary schedules, budgets, mill levies, pupil-teacher ratios and district enrollments are prepared. This is valuable information to school districts when it comes to deciding district pay schedules, School officials can evaluate their position with other schools in their area, their region, or districts with any other similar characteristics.

Negotiation Settlements
Kansas districts can contrast themselves to other districts that have declared impasse. Reports on settlements show the districts in terms of salary, benefits and percentage increases.
